Hoffman Took Out $1,200 Before Death, Sources Say
Tue Feb 4, 2014
This new format is just complete and utterly unuseable. News at a glance, anyone? NOT ANYMORE! Now you have this ridiculous and utterly inefficient format to "try" to sort through. If they don't change back, I'll find a new news site that allows me to find articles at a glance rath …
Apple to refund at least $32.5 million in disputed kids' app purchases
Wed Jan 15, 2014
I don't remember when the ability went out, I think iOS 6....and if it post-dated the lawsuit, then so bit it. They could have easily logged-out of their itunes account every time they allow their child to utilize their iDevice. Annoying, yes. But what do expect from a child who does not …
Unexpected diagnosis: Some medical tests may be harmful to your health
Wed Jan 8, 2014
And yet you'll see people's attorneys sending them to their pocket doctors who will gladly perform any and all of these unnecessary diagnostic tests (full body MRIs, CT scans, EMG/NCVs, etc) with complete understanding and knowledge that they will find "something", either benign or naturally degener …
Never lose your Mercedes with integrated Pebble smart watch
Thu Jan 2, 2014
Just. Plain. Stupid. Smart watches are not the "next big thing". More like the next big flop. A lot of money and resources and this is going to be akin to the Galaxy Gear....another smartwatch that SHIPPED 800K units in 2 months. That's not saying much, especially since sales figures of …

If I go study abroad and get a PhD then return home to the US, do I not have a PhD because I didn't obtain it in the US? I may have to take additional courses/certifications that are more specific to the US, but the fact remains, I would have a PhD which is good SOMEWHERE. Same in this instance.
Debt, no degree: Bills mount for ex-college students who never reached the finish line
Mon Dec 30, 2013
I tried the college thing with money saved up by my parents over the years from various birthdays, Christmases, etc. Dropped in and out three times while changing my major from Computer Science to Business with English Minor to just trying to get an Associates in something before calling it quits.
Starbucks $450 holiday gift cards sell out in a flash
Fri Dec 6, 2013
It probably sold out before it even went on sale!!! Yesterday, the ability to purchase this card was "accidentally" opened up. So there went 100 cards. Those who bought it were charged, but eventually refunded and from what I've seen on the Gilt Facebook page, they were offered the opportunity to bu …

Ben Affleck on Batman casting backlash: 'I'm very tough'
Tue Sep 17, 2013
My problem is not with Affleck as Batman. My problem is a single actor playing multiple superheroes. Just doesn't work for me. Will he play a good Batman? I think so. I think he could pull it off. Hopefully they aren't using the same script writers as Man of Steel. I'm a big …
Abercrombie's 'look policy' gets slammed by judge over hijab

"Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses, yearning to breath free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore, Send these, the homeless, tempest tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door." - Statue of Liberty Can't get any more "American" than that. In reply to: the r word #4 …
